- Yarn. You only need 3 to 5 grams of yarn. I used a metallic cotton thread but you can substitute this with any cotton thread or a fishing twine.
- 1.0 mm steel crochet hook (adjust based on yarn)
- 1 pair of metal hoop earring bases (50 -80mm). I used a 60 mm for the pattern.
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Pattern Notes:
- This pattern is written in US crochet terminology.
- Earrings used are 60 mm across / wide. You can however customize the pattern to any hoop size.
- Ch 1 / ch 3 at the beginning of a round counts as a stitch / stitches.
- Repeat instructions after the asterisk sign: *, as stated in the following statement.
- The pattern uses a metallic cotton thread. You can substitute this with cotton thread / fishing twine.

Abbreviations/Stitches Used
sc :sinlge crochet sts :stitches
dc: double crochet rep: repeat
pat: pattern prev: previous
sk :skip Sl st: slip stitch
Hdc : half double crochet
Crochet hoop earrings pattern.
Attach yarn around the loop and chain 1.
Round 1.
Single crochet around the hoop until its completely covered. Your sc stitches should be a multiple of 4 + 1.
I had 105 sc sts.

Round 2.
Turn the stitches to face inside the loop, then chain 3. [ *Skip 3 stitches, then dc in the next stitch, ] repeat pattern from * to the end of round. turn

Round 3.
Ch 1, sc in each stitch to end of round, then turn.
Round 4.
Ch 2 (acts as a hdc) [ * skip the next st, dc in next st, ] repeat until the last 2 sts remain, skip next stitch, hdc in the last st. Turn.

Round 5.
Repeat round 3.
Ch 1, cut yarn and weave in the ends.
