Learn to make this beautiful crochet drape cardigan. The drape cardigan is perfect for a dress down casual or official wear. It has a front opening for ease of wear and flows perfectly when worn.
Inspiration.
I wanted to design a seamless cardigan without having to join several seams. This would make it easy for a total beginner with basic stitch knowledge. It uses the mini bean stitch which works up so fast and smoothly.
For this pattern, I used a light weight yarn and 4mm hook but you can substitute the yarn and hook. It is easily customizable as long as you know how to work with measurements and gauge.
If you want to crochet with a bigger hook and yarn, you will need to make shorter rows and less stitches.
You can find the printable pdf version of this pattern on Etsy and Ravelry.
You Will Need:
- Light weight yarn. 1150yds to 2450yds depending on size made.
- 4mm crochet hook
- Tape measure
- Pair of scissors.
- Darning needle.
Gauge
14 rows of 9 mini bean stitches measures 4”x 4”

136 for Medium, Ch 140 for Large, Ch 144 for XL, Ch 148 for 2XL, Ch 152 for
3XL, and Ch 156 for 4XL.” If there is only one number, it applies to all sizes.
- Repeat instructions between asterisk (**) as stated in the following statement.
- It is important to maintain gauge throughout the pattern.
- This cardigan is constructed in one piece. There is no joining of seams and its
worked from right to left(right handed) or left to right(left handed..
- Number stated at the end of every row is the count of Mb stitches.
- Last mini Mb of every row is worked in the turning chain.
