The shelly scarf is such an airy and light scarf with closely knit fabric. I gravitate toward light and airy scarves every time I have to leave the house. The weather can be unpredictable at times and having a handy scarf that is not so heave is essential.

When designing this scarf, I had some DK yarn from ice yarns in my stash with thrifted kid mohair blend yarn and didn’t know what to use them on. I knew the thrifted yarn could make much of a project, so I had to blend it with another yarn. That’s where the cakes dk from ice yarns came in handy. These yarns blended well, giving me a warm yet light scarf with beautiful color gradients.
The pattern provides one size fit all but it also gives you options for adjustments if you want it wider and longer or shorter.
