If you love the crunch stitch and crochet knit look stitches, then you will definitely love the rail rib stitch. It is crunch stitch in back loops only! how awesome. I call it the rail rib stitch because it looks like the rails so if you know the name, I’d love for you to share it with me in the comments section below.
Knit look crochet stitches are my favorite whenever I want to achieve the look without having to pull out my needles. They are also great for those who do not know how to knit.
Despite using the same stitch pattern as the crunch stitch, with the difference being placement of the stitch, the rail rib stitch looks nothing like the crunch stitch. It has more texture and to be honest, it’s currently my favorite rib stitch.
If you know how to make the slip stitch, half double crochet, and working in the back loop only, then the rail rib stitch is one to try. You can use it in countless projects from scarves, hats, sweaters & cardigans, e.t.c.
